The danger of Delta plus Coronavirus is rapidly increasing which can give everybody of us sleepless nights. The number of Delta plus variant infection has raised to forty now from nine and most cases have been found in Maharashtra. This is another disaster for us. As the experts have issued the warning that, the third wave is imminent and in September-October, the number of patients may reach up to five lakhs should be taken seriously by the government as well as the public. As the unlock process has been started, already we are witnessing tremendous rush and crowd at many places from hotels to markets and on roads. The political parties which are not recognized for their realization of the current situation with their irresponsible attitude, have been arranging demonstration without bothering the Delta plus or even common Coronavirus infection. On Thursday, thousands of people gathered at Cidco Bhavan in Navi Mumbai to demand for Navi Mumbai airport should be named after former MP D B Patil. The demand may be justified and fair, but the situation is not conducive for such a gathering of people. Likewise, Congress or NCP and Shivsena had arranged demonstrations against many issues including petrol and diesel price hike. All the political parties have been irresponsible and these parties are on the front to sermon people of complying with Covid appropriate behaviour. This is the example of the highest degree of hypocrisy. The country has paid a very heavy price for neglecting to warn issued by scientists about the second wave after the first receded. We lost thousands of precious lives due to negligence of their warning. The second wave created havoc with a total number of deaths due to Corona skyrocketed. Not only that, the second wave exposed all our limitations in health machinery with the inadequate supply of Oxygen beds, oxygen cylinders and much more. All our health machinery failed and still, our CM was considered as Best CM, which seems to be a hoax. The government disseminated fake news of Maharashtra model was appreciated in the whole world whereas we lost a maximum number of people in the second wave. World Health Organization chief scientist Soumy Swaminathan has warned that the Delta plus variant does not perturb by antibodies in our body or immunity. It surpasses and attacks our respiratory system in a very short period without bothering antibodies or natural immunity created in us. This is the most dangerous characteristics of the Delta Plus variant. Our governments in the second wave instead of making any efforts to prevent it only bent upon imposing lockdown. They have nothing new to offer and they have no creativity to find new solutions. The governments should now at least not show such a lack of creativity and implement some new measures so that, the effect of the new Delta plus variant would be minimal. As the governments had no other measures than to the only lockdown, the number of deaths of patients increased to a tremendous level. The situation which was extremely gruesome in April and May months has now diluted to some extent with the number of cases has declined to fifty thousand daily cases. The number of deaths has also been on the decline and jumbo centres are being closed gradually. But, the government should take lessons from the second wave and from now on, should start preparations to arrange enough oxygen beds, oxygen cylinders and another arrangement. In a country, where the population is to the extent of one hundred and thirty crores and people live in densely populated areas, imagine what will Delta plus will cause havoc when it does not get deterred by both vaccines. The vaccination is futile against this variant. So, it is time that we should seriously comply with cleaning hands frequently, use sanitizers and wear mask always. People are not serious about these points and paying the price for their apathy towards this three-point formula. Delta plus has an extreme capacity of spreading and that too rapidly. So, only the physical distance, masks and cleaning hands are our saviours in this situation.
