New Delhi : Expressing concern over the condition of migrant labourers, the Supreme Court has asked the central government that the labourers have neither work nor food money due to the lockdown. In such a situation, how will they survive? The court will pass a detailed order on this matter this evening.
The court has directed the state governments to file a reply in a week on the condition of migrant labourers and the schemes being run for them, if any. The court said that for migrant labourers who had gone back to their villages last year and returned, there should be a means of employment, food and drink. The Supreme Court said that collective kitchen should be built in Delhi-NCR so that no one would go hungry.
