NOT THE TIME FOR CRITICISM BUT TO GIVE SUGGESTIONS FOR PERFECTION, SAYS MINISTER NANDI

PRAYAGRAJ: Cabinet Minister UP Government and Prayagraj MLA, Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ while replying to query by HS over the preparedness of state amid Covid-19 surge said, “To address the COVID-19 crisis, the Centre and state government are doing whatever they can. Only those who perform make mistakes, he claimed, "The Uttar Pradesh government should be commended for the pace at which it dealt with COVID cases. Anyone may make a mistake. Only a performer makes errors. However, now is not the time for criticism; if anyone finds a flaw and offers suggestions, the state government will be grateful."

While elaborating details of prominent steps taken by the government, he said, “Today, I accompanied Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on a visit to the HAL Covid Care Hospital at the Haj House in Lucknow. The facilities and services provided for the Covid-19 patients in such a short time deserved to be praised. The 255-bed Covid-19 Care Hospital is now accepting patients. This hospital has 130 beds with oxygen, 100 beds with a High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and 25 beds with ventilators. The state of Uttar Pradesh will run the hospital through Care India, a non-profit and charitable organisation. Professional assistance is handled by HAL.”

He also added, “HAL was instrumental in the infrastructure's procurement, installation, and commissioning, and would maintain and service the X-Ray devices, nebulizers, oximeters, wheelchairs, stretchers, blood pressure monitors, multipara display monitors for ICU beds, CCTV monitoring system, ECG unit, biochemistry analyzer, incubator, serum electrolyte analyzer, cell counter, and other equipment. Via Care India, the Uttar Pradesh government will get involved in hospital operations and management, with an emphasis on drug availability, hospital consumables, logistics, and oxygen refilling management.”
