UP Bord 10th exam cancelled, Intermediate examination likely in July

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to cancel the High School (Class 10) examination conducted by the UP MadhyamikShikshaParishad (UP Board) in view of the COVID-19 situations. The Government, however, has proposed to conduct the Intermediate (Class 12) exams in July if the pandemic situation comes under control.
The Dy CM of the state Dr. Dinesh Sharma said here on Saturday that the duration of the Intermediate exams will be reduced from three hours to one and a half hours. Besides, the students will have to answer three questions instead of ten, he said adding that the decision to this effect has been taken in the larger interests of the students. Dr. Sharma further informed that the government has also decided to promote the students of classes 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 without any examination.
