Toolkit Politics

BJP is unnecessarily accusing Congress of making a toolkit to defame the Modi government over the issue of handling Corona second wave. As everybody knows, Corona's second wave has been out of the government’s control and there is no need to defame BJP or Modi for mishandling it. With thousands of People dead gasping for oxygen, standing in queues for hours to get a jab, and running pillar to post to have a bed for their near and dear Corona patient, people are already seeing these scenes. So, if BJP is accusing Congress of making a toolkit to defame the central government, it is just an effort of diverting the attention from problems that are ahead for the government. If Congress is doing this, then it is the silliest party in Indian polity as people have already known the fact. What are you going to achieve by hammering facts which already people know. Instead of such exercise, Congress should now concentrate on solving and removing people’s agonies regarding beds, oxygen, and vaccine. Congress should work on the ground instead of fighting BJP on social media like Facebook or Twitter. BJP government’s poor handling of Corona second wave has given a good chance to Congress to cash on it. Of course, when people are dying due to the pandemic, it is wrong and completely unethical to say to cash on such issues for political mileage. But, our political parties are doing the same thing since ages. So, what new is happening in the present Corona pandemic? Unfortunately, Modi’s some colleagues are indeed making such statements that it spreads the rumor that Modi is more conscious of his image than the pandemic deaths, which is not the case. But, Modi is not controlling his ministers and some leaders who are famous for making silly statements. If it continues, the situation will be gone from Modi’s hands and then it will be very difficult for the administration to control the pandemic. The impression in people’s mine is growing that, Modi encouraged large religious and political gatherings until it was too late. India is lying about the Covid death toll. The world’s most important newspapers and television networks have sent their best reporters to India to find out the truth. They have wandered into the darkest depths of rural Uttar Pradesh and reported that thousands of bodies lie buried in shallow graves along the Ganga. The truth may be different but abusing the people who are lamenting this situation will not serve any purpose. In fact, it will inflict more damage to the ruling party. The reports are that hundreds of teachers have died in Uttar Pradesh because they were on election duty during the recent panchayat elections.  Modi himself should come forward to explain the situation and harness himself in damage control. Next year, Uttar Pradesh, the most important state is going to the polls. So, every adverse move from now on will harm the prospects of BJP in winning the state. UP chief minister amid a cluster of his officials visits everywhere in the state and declaring that his teams have gone to every house in every village to see if anyone is sick. Instead, Yogi should spend money on reviving the thousands of defunct health centers and hospitals that lie scattered across rural Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. If they are made functional there is some hope that they can be used as vaccination centers whenever there are enough vaccines available. Of course, every state is going through the same situation and every Chief minister is engaging more in improving his own image than saving the dying people. In Maharashtra, the same experiment is being repeated with the connivance of PR agencies. Arvind Kejriwal is using the same tactics. The image building can be done later. The priority should be to save people and this applies to every ruler from Modi to a  small tahsildar in a  village. Then only we can win over this invisible enemy. Toolkit politics from both sides is not needed for the facts writing on the wall.
