Poonch: District Administration Poonch today started online health verification for Intending Haj pilgrims for 2021, said Basharat Hussain, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Poonch. Interacting with Hindusthan Samachar Basharat Hussain said, "Our district has 54 eligible Haj pilgrims and due to the Covid pandemic, the government asked them to go for online health verification which is very easier", he said. "We asked eligible Haj pilgrims to visit Haj committee of India website and submit information regarding Corona Vaccine taken by them and upload covid vaccination certificate." Replying to a question, he said that for some people being illiterate, they have also issued helpline numbers to facilitate pilgrims. He said, "We are calling pilgrims and asking them to go for online health verification." He added that people are cooperating. He said as per latest guidelines of Saudi Ministry of Health the age allowed to perform Haj 2021 is between 18-60 years and no one above 60 is permitted for haj.
