UP cop complains sub-standard food in mess, probe ordered

Firozabad,: On social media, a video of a police constable complaining the quality of food supplied to them has gone viral. Manoj Kumar, a policeman, was spotted sobbing while staging a protest and was afterwards escorted away by police.
"The food that is being supplied is the sort that even an animal cannot consume," Kumar adds in the video footage. The senior superintendent of police and the DCP are perpetrating a ruse. These folks give poor-quality meals to police personnel."
He further claimed that poor quality food was served despite claims from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that allowances for police officers will be enhanced by roughly 30% to provide a balanced meal for them. "The Chief Minister had previously declared that the state government offers a stipend for police to eat a healthful diet. But this is what we get for working long hours,? he stated.
"The Reserve Inspector thinks I'll be suspended shortly," Kumar explained. I have informed DGP sir of the situation multiple times, but no remedy has been offered yet."
The police mess manager, on the other hand, said that Kumar made needless fuss about the food's quality. Senior district police officers refused to comment on the video. Later, in a tweet, Firozabad police stated that constable Manoj Kumar has a history of disciplinary troubles and has been reprimanded 15 times in the past for irregularities and other such concerns. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
