Minister's resignation: Keshav Maurya, Nandi tweet reactions

PRAYAGRAJ : After senior OBC leader Dara Singh Chauhan resigned from Yogi Adityanath's cabinet and announced his decision on social media, deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and state cabinet ministers Nand Gopal Gupta "Nandi" and Sidharth Nath Singh tweeted their reactions. In an attempt to limit the damage, BJP leader and deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said in a tweet that leaders leaving the BJP would have to bear the losses of jumping into "a sinking boat." He did, however, ask Chauhan to reconsider his decision, stating that it hurts him when a member of the family strays away.

However, UP civil aviation minister Nand Gopal 'Nandi,' an MLA from Allahabad South seat, stated in a tweet that Dara Singh was a member of the cabinet for five years and was never heard saying a word about the neglect of the backwards and Dalits. "Suddenly, before the elections, his copy-pasting letter of Swami Prasad Maurya has revealed to all who is the scriptwriter of his resignation letter," he said.

Cabinet Minister Sidharth Nath Singh, without naming Dara Singh, posted a state government poster on Twitter highlighting various welfare initiatives for various sections of society, including youth, women, and farmers, in an apparent reaction. According to the post, "OBC and SC/ST have reaped the greatest benefits from these schemes, and they are still considering joining SP. One thing is certain: citing OBC/SC/ST as a reason for the move is a false pretense; what is the true reason?" Dara Singh Chauhan stated in his resignation letter that he was leaving the ministry due to the government's "neglectful attitude" toward the backward classes, underprivileged, Dalits, farmers, and unemployed youth.
