Once upon a time, Congress was ruling the entire country and Congress leaders like Nehru and Patel were known to people even in Andaman. Today, Congress has been remained as a mere small regional party with just four states in its kitty and in two states she is in power with collaborating with other parties. In Maharashtra, nobody gives importance to Congress even if it is sharing power with other two parties. But, the humiliating loss it suffered in recently West Bengal elections is really worrisome and it is indicating that party is on the verge of finishing mode. In Bengal, in last elections Congress managed to win forty four seats. This time it has failed to even open account. This is extremely disastrous performance for party like  Congress which had been in power for seventy years. Congress Bengal chief Adhir  Ranjan Choudhari has attributed the failure to  Muslim vote which went to Trinamool and the Hindu vote went to the BJP. For Congress, there was nothing left. The question should be asked by party rank and file that, whether Rahul Gandhi is interested in politics. If the mother son duo is interested in politics, they should take initiative and lead from the front in aggressive manner. If not, they should give space to other able leader.  After two rallies, Rahul Gandhi  stopped coming to West Bengal because of the Covid situation. Rahul should know that, his absence had demoralized the workers and gave a handle to the ruling regime to humiliate Congress with precision. Congress has been decimated by Mamata Banerjee regionally and it has been decimated by Modiji nationally. Congress should come out of dynasty rule obsession and accept some other leader. The main problem is Congress has kept no relation to common people and workers even. Even if people feel Modi has breached them, they are  not seeing any alternative in Congress. Congress should come out of ivory tower of social media and fight for people who are facing severe crisis. Congress should hit the streets because there’s no dearth of issues. But, whether Congress leaders have the habit of street agitations. Modi government has failed in handling Covid situation but no political party is concentrating on this. People are not thinking Congress is alternative to Modi and so Congress will suffer more in the future. Mother son duo seems to have no interest in politics or party.  For Congress, the luxury of Twitter or Facebook will not serve th purpose as the situation has come to such a pass that without hitting the street, Congress cannot impact the psyche of the common people. For instance, the Congress president has instructed all workers that put your work aside, help all Covid patients. The Congress problem is that, in national scene, it has no space and in states like Bengal, their space is occupied by Mamta Banarjee. So, Congress has nothing left for consolidate. Congress own policies and minorities appeasement policies have been hijacked by Mamta. So, Muslims have chosen TMC instead of Congress to survive in Bengal. Congress will never go anywhere from here because it has no space and no powerful leaders at state or national level. Congress performance  in  other  states is also dismal. People have made their mind to wipe out Congress from national scene. This is Congress’ fate. Now, if Congress  wants to change the fortune, they need to come aggressively in the political battle and  leadership should be changed.
