Bitta Karate Kashmiri Pandit murder case adjourned till June 7

Srinagar : The trial against terrorist Farooq Ahmed Dar alias Bitta Karate in the Satish Tikku murder case has been adjourned once again.

The lawyer representing the case of Satish Tikku's murder, Utsav Bains did not reach the court. Next hearing of the case will now take place on June 7. Family members of late Satish Tikku had filed a petition in the Sessions Court, Srinagar, regarding the prosecution of the terrorist Bitta Karate for murder and demanded the present status of the FIR registered against him.

Bains did not reach the court for hearing even on May 10. He had returned to Delhi that day from Srinagar airport and accused the police of not providing him security, though the police had said that the security squad had reached the airport on time. Bains has decided to file a petition in the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court to shift the trial out of Srinagar to Jammu or Delhi, citing security reasons.
