2 youth drown after heavy rains in Maharashtra, one body recovered

Mumbai,: Due to heavy rains in Mumbai, two youths were washed away in the Mithi river near Mahim late on Thursday. The body of one of them was recovered by the police on Friday morning, while the search for the other is on. At the time of writing the news, the fire brigade personnel were searching for another youth.
According to the information, Javed and Asif, who live in Kurla, were returning from Mahim Dargah at midnight on Thursday. During this time, it was raining heavily in Mumbai. Due to the rain, the water level of the Mithi river had increased and the flow was also very fast. Because of this, the feet of both of them slipped and they started flowing in the stream of strong water. Then his friend ran to save him, and he too got washed away in the water. On getting information about this incident, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot, but due to nightfall, both the youths could not be traced.
