Mah Governor refuses to sign Mah decision to not conduct polls without OBC reservation

Nagpur : Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has refused to sign the bill on not to hold elections till OBCs are granted political reservation. The resolution was passed unanimously by the State legislature. The Supreme Court had rejected political reservation to OBCs and had allowed states to decide on reservation, which should not go beyond 50 percent.
Maharashtra Legislature had passed a resolution unanimously to grant reservation to OBCs. Even when the issue was accepted by the Legislature unanimously, the Governor, surprisingly, has refused to grant his consent. The rift between the Governor Koshyari and Uddhav Thackery led Government has widened further, with the decision. Maharashtra Minister Chhagan Bhujbal stated that a delegation of ministers will meet Koshyari again in the evening, to convince him of the unanimous decisionand to accept it.
