Colombo, : The postponed Lanka Premier League (LPL) will now be held from December 6 to 23, the organisers said. The T20 league which was originally scheduled to be played from August 1 to 21, was postponed last month due to the economic crisis in the island nation.
League promoter IPG also confirmed the news on Twitter. LPL will be held from December 6 to 23, LPL tournament organiser Samantha Dodanwella was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo. Despite the economic crisis and political unrest, Sri Lanka successfully hosted Australia for a month-long series in July.

A report said, it is understood that tournament organisers are deciding between two options: either keeping a new draft, or going ahead with as many available players as possible, followed only by any unavailable foreign players.
