Two police constables suspended for waving illegal pistol in a moving car

Prayagraj : Two police constables and another person were detained with an illegal pistol, which they were flaunting while driving on the highway in Prayagraj. ASP Chirag Jain, who has been assigned to Ghoorpur police station, conducted a checking drive and apprehended their car outside the police station. The two constables were suspended because they were drunk. Mohd Arif Siddiqui, a 2001 batch constable, and Kushal Dwivedi, a 2007 batch constable, were caught carrying an illegal 0.32 bore pistol, according to SSP Ajay Kumar. Another person, Mohsin Siddiqui of the South Malaka area, who was driving the car, was also apprehended.

The two constables were assigned to the Kotwali and live in Shahganj. They have been arrested and charged under the Arms Act. They were arrested on Friday and sent to the jail on Saturday, according to the SSP. ASP Chirag Jain stated that the constables were going to visit Kushal Dwivedi's sick mother in Mahoba district. Arif was discovered to be absent from work while Kushal was on leave. Mohsin Siddiqui owned the car. Locals saw them flashing an illegal weapon in a moving car and called the cops. ASP Chirag Jain stated that the constables failed to provide a sufficient explanation for the illegal pistol they were carrying.

SSP Ajay Kumar also punished Sub Inspector Santosh Singh of the Koraon police station for incompetence. According to the SSP, an investigation is also being conducted against the lady in charge of the helpdesk in connection with carelessness demonstrated in a case of rape with a juvenile. The sub Inspector reportedly modified the complaint from rape with a minor to petty assault. The girl's father approached SSP, and an investigation was handed up to SP trans-Ganga.
