Kuldeep Bishnoi joins BJP

New Delhi, : Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal's son Kuldeep Bishnoi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday in the presence of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. His wife Renuka also joined the BJP with him.Khattar welcomed both of them into the party by felicitating them with party membership slips and shawls at the BJP headquarters in Delhi. union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Haryana State BJP President Om Prakash Dhankhar were also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Khattar said that Bishnoi supported the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP candidate got his support in the Rajya Sabha elections. He has been a four-time MLA and two-time MP. In the past, there has also been an alliance of BJP with his party. He comes from Bishnoi community and the alliance will be benefitted from him in Haryana and Rajasthan, said Khatter. His wife and two-time MLA Renuka Bishnoi has also joined the party.
On the other hand, Bishnoi said that he has an old relationship with the BJP. He sad that they had differences of opinions many times but never had difference of heart. He said that he is influenced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policy and the clean image of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Bishnoi had resigned from the Legislative Assembly yesterday. He was expelled from the party by the Congress in June.
Bishnoi, who was MLA from Adampur due to cross-voting in Rajya Sabha, was removed from all party posts by the Congress last month. Since his separation from the Congress party, Bishnoi was constantly keeping close to the BJP and meeting party leaders. Expelled Haryana leader Kuldeep Bishnoi had met Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on July 24.
