The relationship between Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and the Gandhi dynasty has been always a matter of tremendous curiosity and discussion. Amitabh had been Congress MP for a single term and it is told that he entered into politics only due to the extreme insistence of former prime minister Rajeev Gandhi. Amitabh was so closed to Gandhi's family that when he was being treated for an unfortunate incident of the fighting scene in Coolie, the then prime minister Indira Gandhi had specially visited Breach Candy Hospital to meet him. The reason for rekindling history is a new book released and authored by SantoshBhartiya. He has made many shocking revelations in his book and they can't be said for a publicity stunt. This book has thrown new light on the stress and strain between these two powerful families from different fields. The book claims that the cordial relations between Bachchan and Gandhis became stressful on the issue of education of Rahul Gandhi. Sonia wanted Amitabh should pay for Rahul's education fees who was then learning in London. But Amitabh did not take her request seriously and since then Sonia completely drifted away from Amitabh. She never kept any relationship with Bachhans. The book also claims that whenever any foreign dignitary used to visit India, Rajeev Gandhi used to invite  Amitabh and ask him to perform dance on his popular songs like mere angane mein tumhara kya kaam hain. This is very shocking information if it is true. But why Amitabh danced to tantrums of Gandhis is also a question for which Amitabh should give an answer. The stressful relationship between Amitabh and Gandhis started from the Rahul fees incident and the two powerful families never came together. Gandhi's have a history of never forgiving anybody and Amitabh was not an exception. Sonia never forgot the Rahul fees incident and never made friends with Bachchan's. Their relationship went to the pinnacle when Bachhans extended moral support to Rajeev in his marriage. The relationship is a saga of turning friends into foes. Amitabh and Congress or Gandhi family later never raised their bitterness in public. But they never showed any sign of friendship. Not only this,  Amitabh later became a close friend of Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh to tease Gandhis. This is very crucial for today's politics. BJP always criticize that Amitabh is a victim of rivalry between Congress and Gandhis. Everything should be clarified by respective parties.
