New Delhi, : The Congress party is constantly targeting the central government on the issues of inflation, GST, and unemployment. On August 28, the party will take part in a 'Halla Bol' rally on inflation in Delhi.Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh on Thursday said the Congress party would take the fight forward in the coming weeks with a series of protests against price rises and unemployment. The party will organise 'Dearness Choupals' for mutual consultations in all the assembly constituencies' mandis, retail markets, and other places from August 17 to 23. which will culminate in the "Drawn Par Halla Bol' rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on August 28, which will be addressed by senior Congress leaders.
All the Pradesh Congress Committees will organise a "Delhi Par Halla Bol-Dilli Chalo" programme at the state, district and block levels simultaneously. Ramesh said that the people of India are bearing the brunt of the economic mismanagement of the Modi government. Inflation is rising due to excessive taxes on essential goods like curd, buttermilk, and packaged food grains, while the transfer of public assets to friendly capitalists and the introduction of the directionless Agnipath scheme is making the employment situation worse. The Indian National Congress will continue to spread awareness among people about these anti-people policies and will increase pressure on the BJP government to change its wrong policies.
