Ranchi : Due to a lack of evidence, the Special CBI Court of Ranchi acquitted G Karthikeyan, the then Ranchi General Manager of Food Corporation of India (FCI), and contractor Jugal Kishore of corruption allegations.
G Karthikeyan, the then-General Manager, was accused of granting a contract to Kishor Enterprises of Garhwa at a high price while dismissing companies that bid at a cheap price. The government was said to have lost millions of rupees as a result of Karthikeyan''s actions. The probe was launched by the CBI in May of 2015 but could not provide adequate evidence in the court.
