Assam CM asks police to release detained job aspirants

Guwahati : In view of a incident where 36 youth were detained by Assam Police while staging a demonstration in front of Assam Police Headquarters to demand announcement of the results of the recruitment examination for constables, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday directed the Assam Police to look into the case sympathetically and take steps for their early release.
In a direction to Assam Police, Dr Sarma asked the Assam Police to look into the case emanating from the detention of the 36 youth aspiring for jobs and deal with it sympathetically and from humanitarian angle to release them expeditiously.
It may be noted that the job aspirants of the constable of Assam police were staging demonstration in front of the DGP Office at Ulubari demanding immediate announcements of their results.
